Why we Built Alfaaz?
Why we Built Alfaaz?
Alfaaz was built out of necessity. Every captioning tool we tried was built for English first. Feed one a sentence that starts in Hindi and finishes in English — the way most of us actually talk — and it falls apart.
Roman Urdu was worse: not a script these tools recognise, so they either guessed or gave up. We could complain about it, or build the thing ourselves. We chose the second.
So Alfaaz treats Hinglish and Roman Urdu as first-class languages rather than edge cases, and lays Urdu and Arabic out right-to-left properly instead of bolting it on afterwards.
Alfaaz means "words" in Urdu. Every word you say deserves to land on screen exactly when you said it, in the language you said it in. That is the whole product.
